We believe that an important benefit that we offer our clients is that our attorneys are not generalists. Each of us has a focused legal practice in one or two specific areas of law. Like anything else in life, one becomes good at something with practice. Johnathan Rhyne Jr., for example, is the only board-certified specialist in family law within the 27B Judicial District (Lincoln and Cleveland Counties) and one of only two in the 27A Judicial District (Gaston County). When a couple contemplates divorce, it is not uncommon for them to see who can retain Johnathan first. Todd Pomeroy is our criminal defense attorney who handles all misdemeanors and felonies. Rebecca Pomeroy is an attorney who focuses on real estate transactions and brings a compassionate approach to her estate planning and probate clients. Richard Jonas also focuses on estate planning, probate and real estate and is our attorney who handles business formations. Peter Capece and Richard are our two attorneys who focus on civil litigation. Jennifer Hames is our associate attorney who assists in all areas. Born in 1919, Harvey Jonas Jr. continues to advise at the firm in the role of counsel.
